The numbers add up for Ashlie on the Learning Agreement Pilot

Ashlie Mee

When 17 year old Ashlie Mee realised she had a head for figures she joined the Learning Agreement Pilot, and calculated a winning formula that allowed her to learn whilst she earned.

The Learning Agreement Pilot has enabled Ashlie to pursue her dream of becoming an Accountant even though she isn’t completing A-levels, by advising her on training delivered in the workplace that will help her achieve the qualification.

Ashlie is currently progressing to a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Accountancy, after completing her Level 1 and Technical Certificate in Business Administration.

So far the first few months of training have seen Ashlie get to grips with purchase ledgers and invoicing. Ashlie comments, “I have learnt a lot from my colleagues, they help me tackle tricky aspects to my training as they have the experience, it is the perfect way to learn!

Now that I have achieved my technical certificate, my employers feel confident that I can take on the Apprenticeship and I couldn’t have done that without the support of the Learning Agreement Pilot.”

Beverley Holmes, Human Resources Assistant at The Woodford Group comments, “The Learning Agreement Pilot has really helped Ashlie structure her future career plans. We are really pleased that she has decided to complete her Apprenticeship with us as she has a bright future and is an asset to the team.”

Cheryl Leigh, CXL Personal Advisor comments, “Ashlie has really benefited from joining the Learning Agreement Pilot as she can gain the qualifications she needs without having to leave full time employment.”
